We wanted some wood fire pizza like you find in NY. In NC its hard to find. Yelp found this location so we decided it was worth the try. I'm so glad we did. We just left and I'm stuffed and feel I just left NY. The meat lovers pizza was just covered with toppings and so fresh. I'm pretty sure that was homemade sausage too. My mini-Stromboli was so flavorful and the marinara for dipping it was just mouth bursting good. The fries were crispy and hot coming out. My hubs got the wings and they weren't just hot sauce on a wing like so many places. It had a flavor punch. One thing I noticed is we didn't get silverware but thankfully no one looked at us funny for eating with our fingers since it was pizza anyway. Good job Savages! We'll be back.

Our first visit to Savage's since we moved to town. We were pleasantly surprised by the level of service and the food. Ainsley was a very efficient and courteous server. We will definitely be returning soon. I recommend coming early parking spaces are limited but they do also have street parking.

We loved this place! The host and waitress were caring and attentive and the pizza was the best I've ever had. We tried the chicken cordon bleu pizza, which had a good combo of cheeses and meats over a white sauce. The crust was perfect. Crispy and seasoned just enough. It was even good cold later. I liked how there were separate dining areas in smaller rooms that were quieter than the big echoey single dining hall that most restaurants have. Introverts and shy toddlers, rejoice. My 2 year old gobbled down the pizza like it was going out of style. The waitress even refilled the water in his sippy cup! (Usually no one does that.) I thought the prices were reasonable, especially for the quality of food and dining experience. We will definitely be back!

Awesome pizza! Awesome staff! Awesome new location! We love coming here, and never have anything negative to say other than we always leave way too stuffed! They also have gluten free crust that taste AMAZING. And the cheesecake is delish!!

Went to Savage's for our first time this afternoon. We had a margarita pizza and a bbq chicken pizza. We also had garlic bread with cheese and a 99 cent side salad. EVERYTHING was DELISH!!! the margarita pizza was so light and crispy! Its not like other pizzas where u leave the crust, I guarantee you'll want to eat the entire slice! The AC was broken, they sat us in a room where it was cooler. The employees were very kind and sweet. Definitely coming back here! Thanks for the great fo

Lunch today was delicious! I had the turkey wrap and my lunch companion had the pizza. I recommend Savages if you are visiting downtown New Bern or looking for a great locally-owned restaurant. Service was very friendly and attentive. Kudos to Doug and his crew on the new location!
